It’s safe to say that the guests felt the love, joy, and Aloha flowing at every turn, thanks to the playful colors of tangerine, yellow, and shades of pink that were lovingly highlighted throughout the vibrant celebration. This wedding was absolutely stunning. From the couple’s adorable sweetheart table with hanging stars and twinkle lights hanging above to the exquisitely decorated place settings and the entertaining fresh-squeezed juice stand.
Everything was magical. But let’s not forget the traditional Hawaiian dancers the guests enjoyed after the ceremony.

The Olowalu Plantation House has a gorgeous big lawn with palm palms, and each room is elegantly designed in the ancient plantation style, making it the perfect choice for your wedding venue.

Located between Maalaea and Lahaina, the oceanfront venue offers an expansive open lanai overseeing a spacious oceanfront lawn, the cuteness of the natural pier will give you vibrating love waves that coordinate with the ocean.

Simple yet Majestic Style – It Does Not Need to be Chic to be Majestic
As an Olowalu Plantation House wedding photographer in Maui, I learned that there is no need for extensive and fancy decorations because the ocean has the most majestic role. The ocean and all the tropical flowers and greenery give your wedding such an extravagant and romantic scenery that can only be seen in the movies. Usually, the ceremonies are held on the spacious oceanfront lawn. Then, after the ceremony, the wedding couple can stroll down and get their memorable photo on the beach.
The reception was set on the oceanfront lawn, which was lovely. White pillars complemented with tiki torches and strung lights across the palms made a charming atmosphere that promised a great party. Everything was precisely decorated with flowers. The chairs, the tables, everything was positioned so skilfully for you to feel the amazing Hawaiian culture.
The wedding ceremony was also performed near the ocean. A beautifully adorned wedding aisle led to an exquisitely decorated circled arch filled with flowers, so many flowers that make Hawaii what it already is- Heaven.
The Colors of Pure Love
My impressions of the wedding were amazing. I had such a good time that, for a moment, I felt like I was part of the wedding couple’s family. Everyone was so modest; their wedding combinations were formal yet ceremonial. The groom wore a navy tuxedo with a white shirt and a flower. And Helena, the bride, wore a sophisticated, simple wedding dress that was ethereal and romantic. She looked absolutely breathtaking.
One of The Best Picturesque Locations In Hawaii
I feel blessed to witness such incredible love and to be the Olowalu Plantation House wedding photographer for Helena and Danny. Being a Maui wedding photographer allows me to document all the real-life moments that tell a story. And it is these stories that fill my heart. Watching the joy everyone feels for the couple, the love and nervousness that the couple feels before the ceremony, the tears of joy, and the celebrations make unbelievable memories. What an incredible experience to document it all on film.
What Makes The Olowalu Plantation House The Best?
The ocean background, complimented by the palm trees and the natural pier, provided one of the most cinematic photos ever. Since everything was nature themed, I wanted to take a photo with the massive banyan tree on the property, and you can see by the photographs how breathtaking it is.
I wish them to be together for as many years as that tree stood on that ground. And I can say with utmost certainty that the banyan has a lifespan of anywhere between 200 to 500 years. So that means they will live happily ever after!
