Not only was it an honor to photograph this special intimate wedding for Jessica and James in San Luis Obispo, but it was also an event that captivated the entire Ashley Rae Studio team. Between the rolling golden hills of Higuera Ranch and the muted rust-colored tones in the florals by Brooke Edelman Florals, the thoughtful details were considered when reflecting on the storybook day. By far, this is the most incredible glamping elopement photography At Higuera Ranch, and we’re blessed to be part of it.
The simple and elegant details were carefully curated and pieced together using light and airy concepts while incorporating golden elements to cohesive with the flaxen colored grass surrounding the event. The day was full of boho décor that reflected a simple and modern flare. The guest spaces echoed the intimacy of the day, by providing secluded areas to gather and join in joyful conversation. This was all pieced together by event planner, Brooke Nicole Events, who made sure that the bride’s vision came to life. Brooke has many years of experience with a wide variety of event planning, and it certainly unveiled in this harmonious gathering.
We were purposeful in documenting the day, so that no detail was excluded. We were intentional in capturing moments that would be re-lived for years to come. From smells of the baked goods made by Cake Cathedral, to the sounds, as well as varying emotions and special moments between loved ones, it is important to us to create an account of the day through imagery.
As Jessica and James walked through the rows of vineyards, they painted an extravagant picture as though they were about to emerge into a grand entrance awaited by their loved ones. They had embraced the tranquil atmosphere of the sun-soaked greenery, which is displayed through the images that were captured by us.
The charm and breathtaking scenery of San Luis Obispo County is pleasantly displayed in the Higuera Ranch wedding venue. The contrasting terrain provided a variation of scenes while also keeping the imagery cohesive. Because of the visual diversity of the ranch, the venue caters to many varying styles and color pallets. This aspect made it easy for us to feature the Bride and Groom in aesthetically pleasing locations throughout the property.
